Hero North Dakota Lawmaker Wants To Protect Drivers Who "Inadvertently" Hit Protesters Blocking Roads
Fox News — A lawmaker in North Dakota sponsored a bill that would reportedly protect drivers who inadvertently hit pedestrians blocking traffic.
The Star Tribune reported Monday that the legislation is a response to protests at Standing Rock Indian Reservation, and sponsored by state Rep. Keith Kempenich, R-Bowman.
“If you stay off the roadway, this would never be an issue,” he told the paper. “Those motorists are going about the lawful, legal exercise of their right to drive down the road….Those people didn’t ask to be in this.”
Hero! We have a hero in our midst. Somebody get this man a statue. Look, protesting is fine as long as your protesting does not interfere with my ability to do anything and everything I want and need to do. The minute it does, you lose all support from me. And the minute your protesting does something silly and unnecessary like add to the brutal, devastating, horrific human problem of traffic, you can fuck right off. You can suck it.
And in North Dakota not only can you suck it but you can get run over by a car. And the driver can be protected (maybe). And that is awesome.
What it’s really going to come down to here is how tight they are with the definition of “inadvertently.” If they’re at all loose with it I think we’re gonna see quite a few protester splatterings. Like when you hop in the ghost in Halo 3 and just plow through a few guys. Fun times but gruesome scene. And to be honest I’m not just being facetious with this. How do you argue with this logic?
“Those motorists are going about the lawful, legal exercise of their right to drive down the road….Those people didn’t ask to be in this.”
Gotta be able to exercise that right to drive down the road, people in the middle or no people. This is America folks.
